Bonnie King Gibson, born April 10, 1923, Entered into the presence of her Lord Thursday morning September 5, 2019. Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Piney Mountain in the Barkers Creek Community and a member of Piney Mountain Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Tom and Dora King and was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Levi Gibson, her two brothers; Elsie and Grover King, and her three sisters; Bessie Bumgarner, Birdell Brown and Ethel Ashe. 

Bonnie loved the Lord, His Word, her Church, Gospel music, her family and her many friends.

Left to cherish her memory are one son; Charles Lee Gibson (Arbra) of Cullowhee, two daughters; Wilma G. Young (Roy) of Sylva and Betty G. Dalton (Roy) of Whittier. One grandson whom she loved dearly, David Dalton of Whittier, and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday September 8, 2019 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Larry Nations and Jared Stevens officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bee Knob/Dicks Creek Cemetery.
