I am just seeing this. I lived in Walker Dorm and Ms. Emma would bring me and my roommate homemade biscuits and soup. My roommate was from Mississippi and I was from Raleigh. We loved it when she would bless us with food. She had the sweetest spirit and would shout at the drop of a dime. A friend and I were in Cullowhee and stopped in to see her but she was out that day. I look forward to seeing her on that Great Morning. You all have my prayers, love and sympathy. RIP Ms. Emma.

I can remember when we visited Lou, we would sit on her porch looking out at those beautiful mountains and if we were lucky, she wouldve made one of her delicious peach cobblers, or some pound cake, was an awesome cook, a caring, kind and loving lady, gonna miss ya. Love, Shirley Bryson Nelson

I will always remember the love shared when Aunt Lou, Aunt Jackie & Aunt Doris drove to visit my family in Seattle. The prayer in my front yard has sustained me for decades. A life well lived in service. May you rest in peace.
