Helen V. Parker

Helen V. Parker, 74, of Sylva, peacefully went to be with our Lord on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was the wife of the late Dallas Parker and the daughter of the late Frank and Beulah Broom. 

She was a retired telephone operator with Contel. Helen loved sewing and crocheting and all her pets. She loved her family very dearly.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was also preceded in death by 1 son; Dallas Dean Parker, 1 great granddaughter; Alexandria Moore, 1 sister; Shirley Shular and 1 brother; Bill Broom. 

Helen is survived by 3 daughters; Vicky (Darwin) Ferguson, Nada (Mike) Meadows and Frankie (Jimmy) Mason and 1 brother; Mike (Anita) Broom. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.  

Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Appalachian Funeral Services with Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the East LaPorte/Zachary Cemetery.
