James Raymond "Jim" Delk, 75, of Tuckasegee, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018. Jim was born in the Railroad Hospital in St. Augustine, Florida to the late Royce and Mary Delk. A U.S. Army veteran, he grew up in New Smyrna Beach, Florida and graduated from Stetson University with a degree in Management Marketing. He retired as Regional Sales Manager in Florida with Packaging Corporation of America. After retiring to his home in Tuckasegee, he authored "God, Creation, and the Dinosaurs" and was a member of Tuckasegee Wesleyan Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, an awesome Grandpa, and he loved the Lord. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three of his brothers: Johnny, Barry and Andy Delk. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Sherri Delk Son- Jamie Delk (Kathryn) of Waco, TX Daughters- Kathleen Koon (Scott) of Franklin, TN, Ashly Hutton (Michael) of Landrum, SC 7 Grandchildren- Brenden, Kaitlyn, and Carson Koon; Sarah, Rachel, and Joshua Delk; Nevaeh Hutton Brother- Todd Davies of Florida; and a sister - Gloria Dearborn of South Carolina Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 10 at Tuckasegee Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Jeff Powell officiating. The family will be receiving friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Appalachian Funeral Services. . .
