Janet Inez Blackburn

Janet Inez Blackburn entered into the arms of God on June 9, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Howard Blackburn and Lola Hooper Blackburn. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. She was a dental assistant for 17 years for John H. Gallaher, DDS in Cashiers. She was also a certified Chiropractic Assistant at Cashiers Chiropractic for 17 years. Janet was a member of Yellow Mountain Baptist Church. She is survived by one beloved sister; Debra Blackburn and one uncle; Rev. Wesley Hooper. She is also survived by her “adoptive mumzie,” Johnnie Ruth Bumgarner and “brother,” Tim Ledford and many close family members by blood and by heart. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 2:30 pm at Yellow Mountain Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Stepp and Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will speak with friends from 1:00 until 2:30 pm prior to the service at the church.
