My heart breaks reading this obituary for Jean. She and I had made contact some time ago and I never found the "right" time to discuss how much she changed my life and the impact she had on the woman I've become. Words could never express all that I feel knowing that I will never have the opportunity to share how much she meant to me during a very confusing time of my life and the regret that I feel for missing this chance Please know that I'm sending you comfort during this difficult time. I lost my mom in September of 2017 and there is a void during the Holidays that can't be filled. I was too young to remember a lot of their relationship but I will always remember how she made me feel. The unconditional love, sharing and warmth that she showed me were an essential part of growing up knowing that I mattered and that my voice should be heard. I still attribute my love of elephants, poetry and nature along with my deep-rooted kindness and acceptance in large part to the example she showed me. Please know she lives on in some of the very best qualities that make up the patchwork of my life. Deepest regards and if you want to reach out, I would welcome this whole- heartedly. Chrissy
