John Coolidge Nicholson

John Coolidge Nicholson 92, formerly of Webster, passed away on Tuesday October 29, 2019 at McCracken Rest Home in Waynesville, NC following a declining illness. He was the husband of the late Rachel Nicholson and the son of the late William and Sarah Nicholson. In addition to his wife and parents, John was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

He is survived by one brother, Lewis Roosevelt (Mae) Nicholson of Lexington, NC and several nieces and nephews.

John was a member of Webster Baptist Church. He was a retired handyman, having worked in a number of places in Jackson County. He made many friends during his life.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
