Phillip Allen Franklin

Phillip Allen Franklin, 65, of Sylva, passed away Sunday October 20, 2019. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of the late Jess Asbury and Myrtle Jones Franklin. Phillip loved to draw and paint in his spare time and he loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother; Arthur Asbury Franklin, Nephews; Robert Wesley Franklin, Thomas Franklin and his niece Shelly Phillips.

He is survived by 3 sisters- Martha Jones (James), Alice Dudgeon and Wanda Griffin (Charles) all of Sylva

Brothers- Jesse Franklin (Mary), Dewey Franklin (Lucille) both of Sylva

Numerous nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday October 26, 2019 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 untill 2:00 pm prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Franklin Family Cemetery
