Regina Pauline Blanchard-Lanoue

Regina Blanchard-Lanoue, age 59, of Cullowhee, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 24, 2020 at home. She was the wife of Robert Blanchard-Lanoue and the daughter of the late Leslie Blanchard and Bessie Blanchard. Best mother to a son any father could have asked for including her husky. Caring and loving soul who enjoyed caring for others more than herself. She left behind her husband, Robert, loving Mother Bessie, sisters Dana and Donna, as well as her son Cory and husky Storm along with nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father Leslie. Her favorite quote to him was “Do unto others as you would have done unto you.” My mother’s wishes for me came true and I served as her father did in the U.S. Navy. Because of her love and ability to see and show anyone’s potential, I became a better person, husband, and most of all a better son. She is missed and has gone home to heaven. We love you momma!!! A private family graveside service will be held due to the current pandemic. Appalachian Funeral Services of Sylva, NC is serving the family.

Cory, Bessie, Dana and Donna I was hoping to get by to see Regina. She kept being suck and I did not want to bother her. I am so sorry for the family and pray that God will wrap His loving arms around each of you. God bless

I have many fond memories of Regina. My favorite was her and Dana taping me as I sang many songs by the Carpenters. I still have the tapes. Cory, Bessie, Donna and Dana, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. May God give you peace and comfort in the days ahead. Love you all. Derinda Elders Morgan

The words are so far from me right now that could bring you peace. Regina was a beautiful soul, both inside and out. I am so blessed to have know her and called her my friend. May God wrap his loving arms around you and give you strength as you learn to live with her loss from this Earth. Until we all meet again, Julie
