Allen Mathis, 65 of the Caney Fork Community, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026. He was born in Jackson County, NC on December 18, 1960. Allen enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and most of all spending time with his family.
Allen is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patty Mathis; sons, Josh Mathis (Nicole), Jake Mathis (Rachel); grandchildren, Colton and Gracelyn. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jo and Colie Aiken; grandparents, Zeb and Sally Mathis.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Balsam Grove Cemetery. Rev. Steve Webb will be officiating.
