Alma Ruth Crowe

Alma Ruth (Barnes) Crowe, 94, the daughter of Willie Lee and Nola Barnes, lifelong resident of Sylva, entered into eternal rest August 25, 2023.

Immediate family members preceding her in death are her parents,  husband Ray Elijah Crowe, daughter Brenda, granddaughter Melissa and 7 siblings..  Alma Ruth's remaining immediate family include Barbara Davis (Hugh), Tim Crowe (Delaine), Becky Crowe, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and one sister, Essie Wiggins.

Alma Ruth was a talented seamstress, sewing many outfits and alterations for family and community members over the years.  She enjoyed caring for her family, her home and gardens, and participating in the life of Lovedale Baptist Church where she was a lifetime member.

Graveside services will be held Monday August 28,2023 at 11:00 in Lovedale Cemetery officiated by Pastors David Powell and Earl Holden.  In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated for the Lovedale Cemetery Fund and/or the Lovedale Baptist youth group.
