Arthur David Robinson

"With deep love and remembrance, we announce the passing of Arthur “David” Robinson, age 92, who entered into eternal rest with the Lord on December 19, 2025.

David was a hardworking and devoted man whose life reflected faith, integrity, and a deep love for his family. He was known for his steady character, strong work ethic, and quiet dedication to those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Arthur David Robinson Sr and Minnie Rebecca Robinson, his brothers; Jack Robinson and Edward Robinson, his sisters; Roberta "Bert" McClure and Helen Wilkes, and his beloved wife, Ercilia Maria Umana De Robinson.

David proudly served in the United States Army, where he faithfully served his country. Among his proudest accomplishments was assisting with communications during the historic moon landing. After his service, David became an engineer, providing much of Western North Carolina with his work through telecommunications. Throughout his working life, David remained committed to providing for his family, taking great pride in his work and consistently giving his best in all that he did.

Above all else, David was a family man. He is survived by his only daughter, Patricia Ann Robinson; his only grandson, Matthew David Robinson, and Matthew’s wife, Jana Robinson. He is also survived by his sister, Christine McDowell; his niece, Amanda Umana; and many other extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory and keep his stories alive.

David leaves behind a legacy of faith, hard work, kindness, and devotion. His life and example will continue to guide those who loved him, reminding them to love deeply, work honestly, and cherish every moment together.
