Barbara ''Louise'' Leopard

Barbara “Louise” Leopard, 83 of Cullowhee, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021. Louise was born on January 23, 1938, to the late Eugene and Octavia Watson in Jackson County.

Louise loved working in her flowers and her garden. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, going on scenic drives, and taking pictures. Louise loved her family and friends, but most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Black Mountain Baptist Church in Cullowhee, NC.

Louise is survived by her daughters, Sandra Griffin (B.J.), Linda Luker (Jimmy), Patricia Clark (Billy); grandchildren, Jacqui Queen (Bill Hall), Melissa Clayton, Bobby Queen (Fallon Roach), Becky Hall, Stephanie King (Mark), Adrienne Higdon (Gus); great-grandchildren, Megan Hall, Chance Mull, Cayla Brooks, Matthew Leis, Drew Hall, Meena Jones, Kacey Queen, Averi Hall, Isla Rose King, Lily Kate King; uncle, Bob Regan; and brother-in-law, John Leopard (Freda). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Leopard; sister, Florence Watson; brothers, Claude, Carl, and Harl Watson; and grandson, John Clark.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. Rev. Mike Queen and Rev. Larry Bryson will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers: Chance Mull, Timmy Watson, Mickey Dills, Terry Watson, Jamie Mull, Robbie Watson, Ricky Watson, and Bobby Leopard.

Honorary Pallbearers: Gene Leopard and Drew Hall.
