Bertha Brooks Hall

Bertha Brooks Hall, age 87, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023. She was born in Jackson County on May 1, 1936, to the late William and Otelia Brooks. Bertha loved sewing, knitting, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Old Savannah Baptist Church.

Bertha is survived by her son, Danny Hall (Margaret); grandchildren, Josh Hall (Felica), Cortney Rogers (Roman), Tiffany Ledford (JayLe’); step grandchildren, Christy Cabe (Jon), Jeremy Pyatt, Robyn Bryson (David), Mandy Ballinger (Chris);several great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Brooks (Helen).

In addition to her parents, Bertha is preceded in death by her son, Michael Hall; brothers, Melvin, Marvin, and Burnette Brooks; sisters, Merkie McMahan, Ella Mae Brooks, and Frankie Buchanan.  

 A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, October 9, 2023, in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. Rev. Eddie Stillwell will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm prior at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Old Savannah Baptist Church Cemetery.
