Betty Brown

Betty Brown age 92 of Whittier, NC passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Born in Jacksonville, FL., and was the adopted daughter of Edward Tracy and Hallie Guthrie Hollingsworth. She lived most of her life in Miami, FL and became a resident of Whittier in 1966.She was a member of the Whittier United Methodist Church. Betty is survived by one daughter, Jill Whitt, one grandson, Joe Sloan and 2 great grandchildren, Seth and Kayla Sloan and one special friend, George Schwarz. Memorial services will be held at Whittier United Methodist Church at 3 PM Sunday October 25th. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Whittier United Methodist Church. Appalachian Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
