Beverly Harris Cochran, age 61, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. Born on July 12, 1963 in Longview, Washington, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Edith Harris.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 35 years, Lynn Cochran along with their daughter Venora Cochran (Chris). She additionally is survived by four grandchildren, Kalista Green, Wayne (Bubba) Green, Zackary Farmer, Chirschen Farmer and Kristen Farmer. She also leaves behind brothers Homer Harris (Jenny), Larry Harris (Sandy) and sisters Helen Hunt (Marvin) and Barbara Harris, along with nephews Dustin Harris, Patrick Hunt, John Ryan Harris and nieces Izzy Ball and Carissa Amber Harris. She also leaves behind some who was much like a daughter to her, Ashley Mull (DJ) and her three sons. Beverly's Uncle Grady Harris and Aunt Millie McDowell survive her while still residing in Washington.
Beverly enjoyed her bi-weekly trips to get manicures and pedicures, a treat that her granddaughter has taken a liking to as well. Beverly loved spoiling and playing with her grandkids. Whether it be going fishing, watching internet videos or just plain horsing around, her grandkids meant the world to her. She enjoyed family gatherings and making sure everyone was well taken care of with food and drinks. Beverly enjoyed keeping a clean home and was maybe a little OCD at times, but family knew it made her happy. She wanted her voice heard and was a very outspoken person. She provided this trait in the genes to her daughter Venora and granddaughter Kalista as well and provided her with many examples of how to be bold and heard while assuring her honest opinion matters. One thing that drove Beverly mad was leaving a dirty dish or cup about the house, so nobody ever would attempt that feat. But to say she would not get dirty herself would not be true, because she could easily be found working right along aside of her husband in the garage helping him complete any project or task at hand.
Beverly's firm opinion sometimes caused a grumble or two and had her daughter and her bumping heads from time to time. But at the end of the day, they shared the love of a mother and daughter. She would often enjoy watching soap operas on TV and would love to discuss the lives of the characters with others. But watching murder mysteries on TV rivaled her soaps.
But most of all, she was a wonderful loving mom and grandmother. She was the rock of the family and her husband Lynn's best friend in the entire world. As his partner in life they shared and cherished many times together. Beverly will be dearly missed by her family and others that knew her.
