Britta Lee Cope

Britta Lee Cope, 81, of Tuckasegee, passed away Tuesday April 2, 2024 after a period of declining health.  A native of Jackson County she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Hulda Ashe.

She loved flowers, working in her garden, spending time with her family and friends and cooking Sunday dinner for everybody.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Harvey Dale Cope, 2 great grandchildren; Nakisha and Nicholas, and 4 of her siblings; Clara Delk, Robert Ashe, Delma Jean Ashe and James B. Ashe.

She is survived by: Son- Derek (Sharon) Cope of Tuckasgee; 2 Daughters; Alesia (Nathan) Farmer of Tuckasegee; Virgie Lynn Cope of Tuckasgee; 7 Grandchildren; Beverly (Zach) Ramey, Chris (Vanora) Farmer, Sarah (Michael) Hendershot, Melissa (Cameron) Shelton, Jeremy Farmer, Ashley Queen and Melody (James Brown) Gates; 18 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters; Lora Mae Miller of Chesapeake, VA and Virgie Aileen Ashe of Sylva; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

The family will be receiving friends from 2:00PM - 3:00PM, Sunday April 7, 2024, at Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva NC.  prior to the Service A Funeral Services will follow at 3:00PM,  with the Revs. Doc Luker ,Jason Bryson and Larry Bryson officiating.  Interment will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery, Shook Cove.

Pallbearers will be; Tyler, Michael, Zach, James, Chris, Jeremy, Austin and Nate
