Carroll Franks

Carroll Franks, 76, passed away Tuesday May 30, 2023 after a period of declining health.
A native and a lifelong resident of the Pumpkintown Community in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Manuel and Bertha Frady Franks.
Carroll was a Member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. He was the assistant manager at Harold's Supermarket and then he went on to work at Harris Regional Hospital where he retired from with over 20 years of service.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his 2 brothers; Gerald and Billy Franks, his maternal grandparents; Richard and Effie Sorrells Frady, and his paternal grandparents; Mack and Dolly Johnson Franks.
He is survived by his son; Jeff Franks of Greensboro, NC
Uncle; Woodrow Frady of Sylva
Aunt; Rachel Woodard of Sylva
Mother of Jeff; Lettie Hall Cobb of Greensboro
and numerous cousins also survive
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday June 2, 2023 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Eddie Stillwell officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Zion Hill Church Cemetery on Pumpkintown.
