Charles Lee Gibson

Charles Lee Gibson, 79, of Cullowhee, NC, passed away on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024. He was born on September 3, 1944 in Jackson County, to the late Levi and Bonnie King Gibson.

Charles was the beloved husband of Arbra Mashburn Gibson and is survived by his sisters, Wilma Young (Roy) and Betty Dalton (Roy), nephew David Dalton, special Christian friend Jerry Melton, and several loving nieces and nephews.

Charles was a past Fire Chief for the Cullowhee Fire Department and was a talented musician who played bass guitar and sang with the True Spirit Quartet.  He was a member of Lovedale Baptist Church.

A visitation will be held at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva, NC on Saturday, March 16th, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 3:00PM, with Rev. Mike Farmer officiating.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Appalachian Funeral Services. Rest in peace, Charles. You will be greatly missed.
