Charles Leonard Bryson

Charles Leonard Bryson, 81, of the Pine Creek Community in Glenville died July 6th, 2024, at Angel Medical Center of Franklin, North Carolina, following surgery complications. 

Charles was the son of the late James Carl Bryson and Mildred Painter Bryson. He was also proceeded in death by his brother Junior. 

He was deeply loved by his surviving family, brother Robert and wife Ellen, sisters Lee Hunter, Freda Rogers and husband Dickie, brothers Danny and wife Lin, Hubert and wife Peggy, Randy and wife Laura, and sisters Linda and Emma. His Aunt Dot Frady, several cousins, nieces and nephews who simply adored their Uncle “Charlie”.

Charles was a graduate of Glenville High School Class of 1961, from which he recently celebrated his 62nd class reunion. He loved family reunions, stock car races, camping and his new Ford Bronco, but most of all, his family. 

He was a former member of the Glenville Cashiers Fire Department. Charles retired from Con/Met-Cashiers. 

A visitation will be held at 1pm, Friday, July 12, 2024, with a service at 2pm in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home. Pastor Ralph Campbell will officiate. A graveside at Hamburg Cemetery to follow the service. Pallbearers will be Richard, Hunter, Tommy Jr., Bobby, Carl and Josh; with honorary pallbearer Justin.
