Charles Alvin "Buddy" Williams

TRINITY- Charles Alvin “Buddy” Williams, 87, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

He was born on July 7, 1935 in Sylva, NC, a son of the late Roy and Mae Messer Williams. He was married to the love of his life, Doris Louise Williams, for almost 48 years before she preceded him in death. Buddy was a resident of Trinity for most of his life and spent a lot of time on the road as a truck driver. He was an owner/operator with Murrow’s Transfer for 25 years. He attended Whispering Hope Baptist Church in High Point until his health started declining. Buddy enjoyed the outdoors, especially working in his yard. His favorite pastime was watching wrestling on TV. He will be remembered as a hard working man that provided and cared for his family. In addition to his parents and wife, preceding him in death were his sisters, Imogene Williams, Ethel Moore, Carolyn Moore, Elizabeth Flynt, Irene Craine and Linda Craine.

He is survived by his son, Brian Williams and wife Kimberly and grandson Mason. He is also survived by siblings, Marie Turpin, Frank Williams, Wanda Siceloff and Cathey Graves.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 17, from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale. A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 18, at 3:30 pm in Victory Baptist Church Cemetery in Sylva.
