Claude Buchanan

Claude Buchanan, 89, of Pisgah Forest, formerly of Sylva, passed away Saturday June 27, 2015. A native of Jackson County he was the son of the late Jeff and Mary Jane Buchanan. He was an U.S. Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers Fremont and Huey Buchanan and by his sister Barbara Payne. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Moore Buchanan. Sister- Alice Morgan of California Brother- John Buchanan of Brevard Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Dennis Burrell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Carson Cemetery in Macon County. .
