Cora Lee Conner Shuler
Sylva - Cora Lee Conner Shuler, 86, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Mission Hospital Memorial Campus.
Cora Lee was born in Clay County but spent most of her life in Jackson County. She was the daughter of the late Claude and Bonnie Lee Swanson Conner. Cora Lee retired from Buster Brown and was also employed by Ashley Corporation for a number of years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Louise Conner, Elizabeth Patterson, Gracie Crabtree, and Sarah Jean Conner; brothers, George, Luther Eugene, and Cody Ervin Conner.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Fred Hill Shuler; two brothers, Billie Gene Conner of Heddy Mountain Community and James Ray Conner of Glenville; two sisters, Eula Mae Kilby of Cullowhee and Bonnie Brown of Carthage; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Sylva Life Church of God with the Reverend Tim Pressley officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
