Cornelious "Cory" Ashe III

Cornelious “Cory” Ashe III, 54 of Sylva, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022. Cory was born in Tampa, FL on October 01, 1967, to Cornelious Ashe Jr. and the late Janet Taylor Pope. Cory enjoyed roofing, building, and working in his garden. He loved his family. He will be missed by many.

Cory is survived by his wife of 32 years, Donna Ashe; daughters, Nikki Luker (Chad) and Ashley Sitton; sons, Cornelious “Cory” Ashe IV(Shelby), and Joshua Ashe (Nikki); grandchildren, Hailey Luker, Harley Jean Ashe, Josie Rae Ashe, Everleigh Ashe, Scarlet Rain Sitton; sisters, Margaret Ashe, Heidi Murray; brothers, Dallas Taylor Ashe (Bridget), Rudy Seili, Jeremiah Ashe, and Levi Ashe. Cory is also survived by his step mother, Peggy Ashe.

In addition to his mother, Cory is preceded in death by his daughter, Josie Rae Ashe.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Wilmot cemetery.
