Critt Douglas Shook

Critt Douglas Shook, 52, of Whittier, NC, went home to be with the Lord early Friday morning December 2, 2022.

Born and raised in Jackson County, he attended Sylva Webster High School where he lettered in track and was voted most popular in his graduating class. He went on to attend Western Carolina University where he graduated with a BS in Criminal Justice.  Critt loved playing golf and being on the water at Fontana Lake. What he loved and cherished the most was spending time with his son and with his family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father James Douglas Shook. Critt is survived by his son; Kaleb Critton Shook

His mother; Brenda Battle Shook

His former wife; Kimberly Shook

Cousins; Mark Battle, Kim Battle Albritton and Shawna Riordan as well as many other cousins who he loved dearly.

A Celebration of his Life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Whittier United Methodist Church of which he was a Member, with the Rev. Jim Dean officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM prior to the Service at the Church.
