Dale Robert Harkin

Sylva, Dale Robert Harkin, 42, passed away on July 18, 2025.

Dale was born in Newport, Rhode Island on October 8, 1982. He was a gifted artist, poet, writer and skilled in construction of all types. He had recently moved to North Carolina from Texas to be with family.

He is survived by his mother, Paula and step-father Itai Minovitz, of Waynesville, North Carolina; father, Robert Harkin of Portsmouth, Rhode Island; a brother, Scott Harkin and wife, Cheryl, of Portsmouth, Rhode Island; a sister, Julie Harkin of Sylva, North Carolina; brothers, Logan and Daniel Harkin of Sylva, North Carolina and David Harkin of Portsmouth, Rhode Island; aunts, uncles, cousins; and several nieces and nephews.

He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
