Daniel Robert Gonnella, 83, of Sylva, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. He was born on May 30, 1942, to the late Thomas and Mary Hunt Gonnella.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Patricia Gonnella; three surviving children; son-in-law, Robert Wagner (Lynn Chow); four stepchildren; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and ten siblings.
Daniel is preceded in death by his daughter, Marcia Wagner; and three siblings.
He is a member of Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Sylva. Daniel loved Patricia's cooking and spending time with her until his final moments.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:30am on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Sylva.
