Patricia Celia Cogdill

Patricia Celia Cogdill, age 72 of Sylva NC, passed away on Sunday December 25, 2022.   She was born on May 20, 1950, in Jackson County, to the late Thomas and Bonnie (Brown) Cogdill. 

Patty was a 1970 graduate of Sylva-Webster High School and a member of Scott’s Creek Baptist Church.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting.

She will be dearly missed by her loving aunt, Delia Stanford; uncle, Gene Brown (Sally); and many cousins.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thomas C. Cogdill; and uncle, Carl “Bud” Stanford. 

A private graveside service for Patty will take place at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.  Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva NC.
