Deborah Ann Nelms

Deborah Ann Nelms (Dozier), age 61 of Sylva NC, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, after a year and a half battle with COPD.

She was an extraordinary chef and loved to cook for others. She loved art. She was passionate and active with Down Home. Deborah was uncommonly intuitive and very compassionate. She was a true and dear friend.

Deborah is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Paul Nelms; stepdaughter, Dessie Phillips (Steve); grandchildren, John, Jordan, Haley, and Mikenna.

She is also survived by her adoring dog, Ben; her cat, Kit Cat; and a group of women and men who loved her dearly.

There will be a private ceremony for family.
