Deloise Hooper Anderson

Deloise Hooper Anderson, 66, of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning February 22, 2022.
A native and a lifelong resident of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lois Hooper. 
Deloise retired from Western Carolina University as Acting Chief of the Police of the Campus Police Department. She also enjoyed crocheting and was a very good cook. She was also known for keeping her house spotless, neat and clean. She loved her fur babies; Karsyn and Sweetie and looked forward to her weekly shopping trips and going somewhere to eat with her best friend/mother Lois. Deloise loved her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Johnny Anderson and by her brother Michael Dean Hooper.

She is survived by 2 Brothers; Richard (Connie)Hooper, and Dale Hooper

4 Nephews; Charles Brandon C.B. (Kimberly) Hooper, Dustin (Brittany) Hooper, Daylon and Brian Hooper

1 Niece; Krista (Nathan) Hooper Beck

Several great nieces and nephews and several cousins including Kathy Bradley and Jeanette (Charlie) Brown also survive
and a special friend; Joe Shook

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday February 27, 2022 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Revs. Steve Webb and Keith Ashe officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Deloise will be laid to rest in Lower Coward Cemetery, Caney Fork
