Erica La Rae Nicholson

Erica La Rae Nicholson, 37 of Waynesville, NC went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. She was born and raised in Transylvania County. Erica is preceded in death by grandparents, Bill and Mary Snyder and Paul and Clara Nicholson; niece, Casey; nephew, Johnnie; best friend, Emmiliee Holland.

Erica is survived by her mother, Pauline Snyder (Jack Thomas) of Pisgah Forest; father, William Nicholson of Waynesville; sisters, Wendy Nicholson of Charlotte and Mary (Phillip) Golden of Canada, NC; step daughter, Erica Capps; nieces, Beverly, Abby, Haley; nephews, Phillip Lee, Cadene, Jeremiah, Nicholas, Isaiah, and Jacob; granddaughter, Sophia Capps. She is also survived by the love of her life, Thomas Erastus Golden and lifelong friend and ex-husband of 7 years, Carlton McMahan.

Erica worked in the nursing until she became disabled. She was avid lover of dogs. She loved the color purple and Tinker Bell.
