Fred Marion Hooper
Fred Marion Hooper 76 of Cullowhee passed away on Saturday February 1, 2025. Marion was born on February 29, 1948 to the late Clyde and Edith Stiwinter Hooper. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County.
Well known in the community for his self-taught mechanical skills, he enjoyed flea markets and meeting friends to enjoy laughs, conversation and trading knives.
In addition to his parents, Marion was preceded in death by infant brothers, Junior Hooper and Paul Jennings; and a sister Maxine Jennings.
He is survived by many cousins, good friends and a special friend, Patricia Warren, whom he had shared the last few years with.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 8th, at Stewart Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Holden officiating.
