Glenda Sellers Adams went to her home in Heaven on Friday, October 18th, after a lengthy illness. She was born on June 13th, 1944 to the Late Harley and Virgie Ensley Sellers.
Glenda was joyfully married to Bill Adams on September 19th, 1964. They enjoyed 55 years of marriage and together they raised two sons, Nick and Jerry Adams.
She is survived by her husband Bill, sons Nick (Kelly) and Jerry (Donna), brothers James and Harley Sellers, sisters Mary Ellen Allen and Gail Buchanan. She was also survived by three granddaughters, Madelyn (Brandon), Abigail, and Hannah (Caleb), one grandson, Grayson, and two great grandchildren, Chaseton and Sabelle.
She was a woman loved by many. Glenda had a heart for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She loved to sew and make quilts, bake, go on trips, and spend time with her family. The joy that she brought into the lives of the people around her was something that could not be taken away. Her warm embrace, caring spirit, and sweet smile are only a few of the things that she will be remembered by. She always had stories to share about her family growing up. They made us laugh and remember the memories we shared with her. Glenda was a loving mother, devoted wife, and excellent home maker.
Services will be held at East Sylva Baptist Church on Sunday October, 20th where she was a member at 3:00pm with Rev. Reed Benson and Rev. Charles Dean officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-3:00pm. Burial services will be held at Old Field Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
