Harrison Frizzell

Harrison McDonald Frizzell, age 73 of Sylva NC, passed away on Saturday April 8, 2023.   He was born on August 7, 1949, in Jackson County, to the late William Coleman Frizzell and Ruby Lee White Frizzell.

Harrison retired from WCU and took pride in his work. He enjoyed his passions for gardening, woodworking, foraging, homesteading, and spending his favorite days sitting on the porch in the sun. He was a simple man, a man of many friends and the kindest soul. A staple in the little Savannah community. He loved his family so well. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

He will be dearly missed by his son, Robert Green of Little Savannah, and his three children and their children; siblings, William “Joe” Grover Frizzell and Juanita Lee Frizzell Edwards, of Little Savannah, Virginia Lucille Frizzell Franklin, of Waynesville; and grandchildren, Gna Wyatt, of Clyde; and Jamie McCoy, of Sylva. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Geraldine Frizzell; and brother, Bennie Lee Frizzell.

A graveside service will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11:00AM, at Greens Creek Cemetery, Sylva NC.
