Ila Mae Parker

May 10, 1929 — June 7, 2022

Ila Mae was born May 10, 1929 the youngest and last surviving child of Bertha C. Tatham and James Edgar Buchanan near Love’s Field in Jackson County. She departed this world on June 7, 2022 at age 93.

 Predeceasing her were her parents, sisters Marjorie Wolfe, and Oma LeCroy, brothers Ervin Buchanan and Gerald Buchanan, her husband Lymon Charles Parker and son Charles Keith Parker. Surviving are daughter Nancy Y. Parker, daughter-in-law Diane Parker, grandchildren Samantha Crawford (Caleb) and Robert Lymon Parker (Tina) and many nieces and nephews.

As a lifetime resident of Jackson County Ila Mae grew up in Rhodes Cove, attended Sylva Elementary and High School and over the course of her life worked for Stovall’s 5&10, Ensley’s Grocery and Jackson County Social Services.

No burial/memorial services will be held.
