Irene Avianantos Czipulis

Irene Czipulis, 90, died peacefully Saturday August 18, 2012 in Sylva. She was preceded in death by her husband Alexander J. Czipulis, her older sister Anastatia Bromberg (Tess), and her granddaughter, Alaina Czipulis. Irene served in the U.S.Army during WWII, stationed in Ft. Benning, GA. She was born in New York on April 3, 1922 to the late John and Garafalia Avianantos and lived most of her life in South Florida before moving to Western North Carolina in 2001. She is survived by her 2 Sons- Alexander R. Czipulis (Christine) of Hendersonville and Robert J. Czipulis (Marsha) of Coral Springs, Florida Sister- Loretta Maraguila of Easton, PA, 8 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren A Celebration of her life will be held in South Florida later this year An online registry is available at www.appalachianfuneralservices.com . .
