Jeffrey Michael Gibbs

Jeffrey Michael Gibbs, 61 went to be with our Lord on Sunday September 13, 2026. He was born in Bryson City, however he lived most of his life in Henderson County. He was the son of the late Clyde Gibbs, Jr. and Vera Holland Guise (Don).

In addition to his mother, Jeff is survived by his wife, Linda Annette Gibbs; son, Jared Vincent Gibbs (Elizabeth); and bonus son, Elijah Lee Foster.

In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Claude and Britta Lee Holland; a sister, Rhonda Dunn; and Beverly (Jared's mom).

Jeff was a TC Roberson Alumni '83 and an alumni from WCU. The last five years, Jeff worked as a Jackson County Code Enforcement Official. He had a 26 year career at Borg Warner, where he rose to management. Jeff accomplished so much in his life. There wasn't anything he couldn't do. His love of fishing, hunting, and exploring were some of his favorite things. He enjoyed countless hours on the water and in the woods with Jared.

A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at a later date.
