Jimmy Woodard

Jimmy Woodard, 58, of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday August 6, 2019. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was the son of the late James A. and Gladys Woodard. Jimmy worked for over 14 years at Environmental Inc. in Sylva. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors with his family and friends. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his 2 sisters; Annie Ruth and Rebecca. 

He is survived by his wife of 9 years Sandra Woodard

Son- Craig of Asheville

Daughter- Tina of Waynesville

2 Grandchildren

2 Brothers; Vernon Woodard of Sylva  and James Woodard of Spartanburg, SC

Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

A Graveside service will be held 10:00 am Saturday August 10, 2019 at Fall Cliff Church Cemetery with the Rev. Caleb Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Appalachian Funeral Services.
