Jo Ann Queen Mathis

Jo Ann Queen Mathis, 72 of Cullowhee, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026.

Jo Ann found great joy in growing flowers, traveling and cooking, but she treasured nothing more than time spent with her family. She devoted much of her time to enjoying the company of those she loved, especially her grandchildren, who held a very special place in her heart.

She will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, generous and giving nature, and the love she shared so freely with those around her.

Survived by sons, Marion Mathis (Stephanie), Randy Mathis (Donna), two grandchildren (Tambry and Colby Mathis), two sisters (Janet Norman and Diane VanEtten) and life long best friend, Rita Prince, and numerous other surviving relations.
