John Brandon Carter

In Loving Memory of Brandon Carter

Mr. John Brandon Carter was called home to be with the Lord on November 6th, 2025, in Waynesville, North Carolina, at the age of 34.

Brandon is survived by his parents, his mother, Judy Aiken, of Waynesville, and his father, Ronnie Carter, of Sylva. He is also survived by his little sister Madison Brooks and by his beloved dog, Bailey Ray Carter.

Brandon was born on December 3rd, 1990, in Sylva, North Carolina. He was working toward a degree in Cybersecurity through WGU, showing the same determination and thoughtfulness he carried into every part of his life. His family and friends remember him as a pure and gentle soul whose presence was a blessing, with a pure heart that touched everyone around him.

To those who knew him, Brandon was truly one of a kind—witty, tender-hearted, and steady in his love for the people he cared about. He cherished his family deeply, adored Bailey Ray, and found joy in the simple things: being at home, getting lost in a good video game, and reading his Bible. His spirit was quiet but powerful, and his kindness touched every person lucky enough to know him.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on November 12th at 135 Sycamore Drive, Whittier, NC 28789. Eddie Stillwell will officiate the ceremony. As an alternative to flowers , the family asks that donations be made to the Haywood County Animal Shelter, 453 Jones Cove Rd, Clyde, NC 28721, in honor of Brandon’s deep love for animals.

Brandon’s quiet, compassionate heart will be missed more than words can say, but his love will stay with us always.
