John Vinton Dyer

John Vinton Dyer, 50, of Bryson City, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025. He was born in Swain County on October 27, 1974, to Kenneth Dyer and Judy Conley.

John was artistic, loved antiques and collecting. He loved spending time with his three daughters and grandson.

John is survived by his parents, Kenneth Dyer (Joyce) and Judy Conley (Bobby); daughters, Bethany Bryson (Todd), Ruby Dyer, Morgan Dyer (Drake Hill); grandson, Oakley Bryson and one grandchild on the way; brother, Kenny Dyer (Trish); sisters, Alice Parton and Tiffany Dyer.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Appalachian Funeral Services. Rev. Lewis Crisp and Rev. Earl King will be officiating. Burial will follow at Swain Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 12:00-1:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
