Johnny Alvin Burrell

Johnny Alvin Burrell, age 75 of Sylva NC, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023.   He was born on February 18, 1948, in Jackson County, to the late Alvin Early and Lillian Virginia (Crisp) Burrell. 

Johnny was a great sports fan.  Whether playing or watching. He enjoyed golf, bowling, softball, basketball & pool.  

He will be dearly missed by his loving daughter, Jennifer Morgan (fiancé, Jason Messer); brother, Donnie Burrell (Darlene); grandchildren, Brittany Burrell (fiancé, Jacob Kielson), Dakota Burrell (Shaneace). Hunter Morgan, Shanlie Morgan; great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Ryder, Rhett, Addison, Maelynn, Kylie; and his former wife & caregiver for 52 years, Wanda Burrell.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Tommy Burrell.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM – 8:00PM on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Appalachian Funeral Services, Sylva NC.
