Karen Martin Speights

Karen Martin Speights, 61 of Franklin, NC, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022. Karen was born in Lumberton, NC, on May 23, 1961, to the late William and Katie Powell Martin. She enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Karen was full of life and spunk. She will be missed by many.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Amanda Brogden (Joe) of Franklin, NC; grandchildren, William Brogden and Emma Brogden; sisters, twin Sharon Haggins (Doug) of Holden Beach, NC, and Debbie Hicks of Holden Beach, NC; nephews, Dillion Haggins and Christopher Hicks.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, January 2, 2023, in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. Rev. Wesley Price will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00am prior to the service at the funeral home.
