Kathy Holder

Kathryn "Kathy' Holder, 64, of Whittier, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday evening December 24, 2019. A native of Swain County she was the daughter of the late Bob and Vinnie Queen Hyde. Kathy was a member of Patterson Chapel Baptist Church, she loved to fish, play her guitar and sing. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two of her brothers; Jack and Cecil Hyde and two of her sisters; Jean Neal and Barbara Ann Rose. She is survived by her husband of 47 years Dennis Holder Son- David Holder (Gina) of Whittier Daughter- Angie Tilley (Steve) of Whittier 4 Grandchildren- Samantha and Carisa Tilley, Daniel and Miley Holder Brothers- Raymond and Doc Hyde Sister- Becky Ray numerous nieces and nephews also survive Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday December 29, 2019 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with the Rev. Jason Stevens officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the Service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Nations Creek Cemetery.
