Kenneth “Turkey” Dee Kirkland, 64 of Sylva, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Kenneth was born on October 30, 1958, in Jackson County to the late Frank Dee Kirkland and Mary Farmer Owens. Kenneth enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his family. He will be missed by many.
In addition to his mother, Kenneth is survived by his wife, Bertha Williams Kirkland; brother, Thad Kirkland; nieces, Crystal (Jeter) Baldwin, Cassie (Dulane) Elders, Venora (Chris) Farmer. Several great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his father, Kenneth is preceded in death by two brothers, Tex Kirkland and Vance Kirkland.
