Kristi K. Hermes

Kristi K. Hermes, 63 of Sylva, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026. She was born on August 22, 1963, in Jackson County to the late Dewey and Pat Kirkpatrick. Kristi enjoyed cross stitching, drawing, and spending time with family.

Kristi is survived by her brother, Monty Kirkpatrick (Becky); sister, Debbie Styles. Several nieces, nephews, special friends and family also survive.

In addition to her parents, Kristi is preceded in death by her husband, Alan Hermes; brothers, Jimmy Kirkpatrick and Chucky Kirkpatrick; sister, Linda Hill; brother in laws, Ron Hill and Ronnie Styles; niece, Tiffany Styles Dax; nephews, Ron Hill Jr. and George Hill.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00pm on Friday, September 4, 2026, in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services. Rev. Tim Dillard and Rev. Chad Wise will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
