Leandro Valdes

Leandro "Lenny" Valdes, aged 54, passed away on April 21, 2024, in Sapphire, NC. Born on March 12, 1970, in Elizabeth, NY, he was a son to the late Ciro and Madura Valdes and a brother to the late Luis and Manny Valdes.

Lenny was a graduate of Miami Beach High and spent many years in the construction and property management sectors, where he was known for his strong work ethic and the respect he earned from customers. In the latter part of his career, Lenny served as the Superintendent for the POA at Wade Hampton in Cashiers, NC, where he found great joy and fulfillment in his work and the community he served.

Outside of his professional life, Lenny loved to fish, enjoyed bike rides with his daughter, Gracen. Watching Gavin and Grant play sports or helping them with projects. These simple pleasures brought great happiness to his life and created cherished memories for his family.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication as a father to his three children: Gavin, Grant, and Gracen. Lenny's memory will be held in the hearts of those he touched with his kindness and commitment to his family and work.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this time.  Family and friends respectfully are invited to attend the service for Lenny which will be held at Grace Church in Cashiers, NC on May 8th beginning at 5:30 PM.
