Lewis Edward Buchanan

Lewis Edward Buchanan, age 68, of Sylva passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 at Memorial Mission Hospital. Mr. Buchanan was born May 12, 1947 in Sylva, NC. He is the son of the late Aldon Odell and the late Maggie (Green) Buchanan. He enjoyed traveling, socializing, fishing in Montana, and meeting new people. He is survived by his wife: Bobbie Jo Buchanan; Daughter Hollie (Lee) Alberts; Tammy (John) Slater; and one son Edward Lee Buchanan. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by one sister, Aldena Connor. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 16th, 2016 at 1pm in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11AM until 1PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Old Savannah Cemetery. Appalachian Funeral Service has been entrusted will all arrangements.
