Linda Lee Fuqua

Linda L. Fuqua, cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024, in Sylva, NC, at the age of 81. Born on May 2, 1943, in Homeland, FL, Linda was the daughter of Joseph and Frankie Braswell. She grew up alongside her three younger brothers, Larry, JV, and Gary.

Linda dedicated herself to a fulfilling career in healthcare, where she served with dedication and expertise as a medical records clerk for 30 years. Her meticulous attention to detail and compassionate care left a lasting impact on all those she served. Later in her career, Linda transitioned to become the office manager for the Florida Citrus Showcase before eventually retiring.

In retirement, Linda found joy and relaxation in North Carolina, where she embraced leisure activities such as gambling with friends at the casino and going on cruises with her family and friends.

Linda is survived by her loving children, Bobby and Tracy; cherished grandchildren, Ciara, Tara, Kyle, Austin, and Zack; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Frankie Braswell, her brothers, Larry and Gary, and her beloved son, Keith.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Linda's life will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 12:00PM in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva, NC with the Rev. Cory Boon officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. 

Linda will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her kindness, warmth, and joyful spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
