Loretta Dillard Smith

Loretta Dillard Smith, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, February 18th after a brief period of declining health. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Phillip Edward Dills and Jot Amon Smith; her mother and father, Annie Sue and Harry Dillard; and a brother, Raymond (Ray) Dillard.

Loretta is survived by a nephew, Adam Dillard of Cincinnati, Ohio; two nieces, Jodi Dillard of Brevard and Kimberly Pence of Lexington, Kentucky; a special cousin, Clay Elders and his two sons, Coleman and Ethan. Also surviving are three aunts, several cousins and many dear friends.

Special thanks to Four Seasons Hospice, Barbara Stonesifer, and Clay Elders for all their help, care, and compassion. A thank you to all the wonderful people who called, visited, or sent cards and messages.

Loretta was completely at peace with dying and her lifelong personal relationship with God. As per her wishes, there will be no memorial.
